The feeling of the place

The house is set up for the slow parts of a trip: coffee in the kitchen, a swim before lunch, dinner on the lanai while the light goes gold over the yard.
Everything is on one floor. The kitchen opens to the lanai through a pass-through window, so whoever is cooking stays part of the conversation outside.
